We regret to advise of the death of Jim Tryon peacefully at the Newport Harbour Care Centre, in Calgary, AB on 26 August 2014 at the age of 78.

Jim served in the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1952-1969.  After leaving the army he worked for the City of Calgary as a plumber/gas fitter for 25 years, first at the Children's Services Centre and then the police department.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Centre Street Church, 3900 2 Street N.E., Calgary on 3 September at 1:30 p.m.  Donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, 20 Hopewell Way N.E., Calgary, AB or the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 - 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary.  Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca         ^{{gdDec2016kh}}
