Capt Bruce Paradis, CD

Capt Bruce Paradis will be retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces, the Engineer Branch and the National Defence Fire Service after 35 years and 118 days of loyal and dedicated service. Capt Paradis joined the CAF out of Rosemere Quebec as a direct entry Firefighter in 1979; rising to the rank of CWO and eventually taking an SRCP offer as a Capt Fire Chief in Greenwood. Major milestones include the operational governance and planning of fire protection for the 2010 Olympics and Afghanistan Roto O to Roto 11 as well as every other Canada Command and CEFCOM mission during that time including Op Hestia, the first time CF Firefighters were deployed in a Search and Rescue capacity. Bruce is married to the love of his life Bonnie and they have two children; Aaron and Jeff. They will be relocating to the Moncton area to be closer to family. There will be a luncheon held for Bruce in Dec prior to his move (date to be determined). His last official working day will be the 19 Dec 14 with an effective retirement date of the 16 Apr 15.
