MWO/Adjum K.D. McLaren, CD

    After more than 23 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, MWO K.D. McLaren, CD) retired on 10 April 2024.


    Kevin enrolled in the CAF on 26 March 2001 as an Electrical Generating System Technician. After completion of basic training, he was sent to CFSME in Oromocto, NB. Upon completion of the EGS QL3 course he was posted to CFJSR at CFB Kingston in July 2002. Kevin completed his QL5 course in 2005. In 2007 Kevin was posted to 86 ASU in Trenton. During his posting with 86 ASU he completed his QL6A course and was involved with installations of generators across Canada and engine rebuilds at CFS Alert. Kevin was later posted to 4 Wing Cold Lake in 2012 where he filled various roles within the unit during his time there. He was posted to RPOU(W) Section Edmonton in 2018.
    During his career he has had taskings/deployments to, Afghanistan, Alert, Inuvik, and Kuwait. He wishes to thank everyone that he has had the opportunity to meet and work with throughout his career.
    Kevin will stay in the Edmonton area as he has joined the Department of National Defence within RPOU(W).
