After more than 35 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, MWO D.M. Hagan, CD, will retire on 2 December 2024. MWO David (Mark) Hagan joined the CAF on 8 Nov 1989 as a Radio Teletype Operator at the 746 Communication Squadron in Calgary and deployed to Croatia, OP HARMONY, in 1993. In 1994, he joined 2 PPCLI and deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina, OP PALLADIUM, in 1997.

Joining the Construction Engineers as a Water, Fuel and Environment Technician in 1999, he was posted to Edmonton, Cold Lake, Comox and back to Cold Lake. during his time with the engineers, he was deployed to Afghanistan, OP ATHENA in 2004, Task Force (Roto 1) in 2006, Task Force (Roto 8) in 2009; Iceland, OP IGNITION in 2011 and Iraq, Joint Task Force Impact in 2020.
