    After more than 14 +years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, Corporal David Pollock, CD (bio attached), will retire 25 May 2016. A Depart with Dignity Ceremony will take place at the CFB Trenton Jr. Ranks Mess Snake Pit on 28 April, 2016 from 11:00 to 13:00.     Corporal David Pollock CD, will be retiring from the CAF on 25 May 2016 after 14+ years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada, and the Canadian Armed Forces.

    Corporal David Pollock was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick to a military family. He joined the military on 27 February 2002, in Oromocto (New Brunswick) as an Infantryman but switched over to Combat Engineer with 4 Engineering Services Regiment.

    After Basic training in St. Jean Sur Richelieu, Quebec, he continued with the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering in CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick. Upon graduating in 2003, he served with 4 ESR, for three years, which included DART deployments from March to August 2004 in Haiti and Sept, 2005 in Biloxi, Mississippi as part of the Hurricane Katrina clean-up. He re-mustered to a Refrigeration & Mechanical Techician in 2008 and remained with 4 ESR. He completed his QL5A in May, 2010 and was deployed to JTF Afghanistan from Nov 2010 to Jul 2011. In 2012, he was posted to 8 Wing Construction Engineering, 86 Airfield Support Unit at CFB Trenton. @forces.gc.ca>

    Over his 14+ year career Cpl Pollock received a number of awards, including the Canadian Forces Decoration, General Campaign Star - South West Asia, the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal, and the Operational Service Medal – Humanitas. @forces.gc.ca>

    After his retirement, David plans to go back to school to complete various courses in preparation for a 2nd career and settle down with his wife, Kelly. @forces.gc.ca>
