After 9 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, Cpl J.T. Christie, will be released on 19 October 2025. Corporal Jody Christie was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick. After graduating high school in 1998, he began working as a meat cutter, a trade he pursued until 2015 when he decided to transition to a career in refrigeration. In 2016, after completing his first block of refrigeration training, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 36 as a Refrigeration and Mechanical Technician (RM Tech).
In May 2018, Cpl Christie graduated from his QL3 course and was posted to 4 Wing Cold Lake. In October 2021, he successfully completed his QL5 course and was posted to 9 Wing Gander the following year. During his time at 9 Wing, he took part in Operation REASSURANCE in October 2023 and had the great honour of contributing to Operation DISTINCTION in July 2024. In July 2025, he achieved his Red Seal certification in refrigeration.
Cpl Christie is married to Rosalind, and together they have two children, George and Jadzia. The family has been living in Gander, Newfoundland, for the past three years, where they are proud to call the community their home.
