WO Dempsey is an electrician working in the training cell at CFB Greenwood. His wife, Susan, recently experienced a medical problem causing a severe infection spread throughout her body, destroying her hip. After several months in hospital, she has only recently become infection free. She is now awaiting a hip replacement with the first of two surgeries scheduled for 1 November. The Greenwood Chapter under MCpl Dan Wade rallied their members to help build a ramp to access their house and, with a $500 donation from the CMEA, completed it just in time for Susan's homecoming.
