    We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Roy Henry Delbeck (Ret'd) of Moose Jaw on 27 January 2011 at the age of 88 years.

    Born in Edmonton AB, Roy moved to Moose Jaw as a child and began working with the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1940. He joined the Army in 1942 and was took his Basic Army Training at the 102th Canadian Army (Basic) Training Centre in Regina.  He saw action in Europe with the Second Battalion R.C.E. from Toronto and later came home with the 14th Field Company. He returned to work with the CPR in 1946 and retired in 1984.

    The Funeral Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on 4 February 2011 at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in the Veterans' Section of the Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw. Memorials to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, 268 High St.W.., Moose Jaw, S6H 1S8, would be appreciated. In living memory of Roy, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
