    We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant Robin Andrew Hill, CD (Ret'd) at home in Hilden, NS, from illness, on 15 October 2009 at the age of 51 years.

    Born in Hamilton, ON, Robin joined the Canadian Military Engineers as an Electrical Generating Systems Technician and had a 24-year career. During his career, he served on Her Majesty’s Canadian Ships Saguenay and Ottawa.  He also served at Canadian Forces Base Trenton, ON where he was a member of the Mobile Repair Team.  Robin also deployed on United Nations peacekeeping missions, his last mission being in 1994 - 1995 in Bosnia. In civilian life, Robin taught electrical apprenticeship at the Nova Scotia Community College, Institute of Technology, Halifax Campus.  He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #147 in Upper Musquodoboit, NS.

    There will be no visitation by request. A celebration of life will be held on 20 October at 2:00 PM in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, NS.  Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre, Halifax.  {gdFeb2017dc} [zsp]
