During the night of 25/26 September 1944, sappers of the 20th and 23rd Field Companies, Royal Canadian Engineers along with two British field companies, took part in Operation BERLIN. During the August Long weekend, the Edmonton Heritage Festival celebrated cultural diversity, cultural awareness, and displayed community involvement.
