Major Teslin Bruhn graduated from Queen’s University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering. He enrolled in the Royal Canadian Air Force in September 2011 as a Construction Engineering Officer. Following training at CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick in April 2013 he was posted to 19 Wing Comox as 191 Construction Engineering Flight Commander. In 2014 he transferred positions to Construction Engineering Operations Officer, managing various construction and maintenance projects at 19 Wing.

In 2014 he transferred positions to Construction Engineering Operations Officer, managing various construction and maintenance projects at 19 Wing. In 2015, following ADM(IE) transformation, he transferred positions again at 19 Wing to Officer Commanding 19 Construction Engineering Squadron.
In 2015 he was posted to NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N&NC) in Colorado Springs where he was initially employed full-time on crew in the N&NC Command Center as a Deputy Air Domain Chief. Following a year on crew, he moved to the N&NC/J533 where he worked on the NORAD Northern Basing Study as the secondary and later primary Action Officer for the portfolio. As the local Canadian Construction Engineer, he also worked with the N&NC/J42 to collaborate on engineering efforts, provide expertise on Canadian military engineering capabilities and processes, and to liaise with engineers in Canada.
In 2019 he was posted to 22 Wing North Bay as CE Flt Comd/Engineering Officer. In 2020 he was posted to Real Property Operations Detachment North Bay as OC, retaining Engineering Officer duties as the position was transferred to a permanent civilian role. In 2021 he was promoted to his current rank at the end of his posting in North Bay.
In July 2021, Maj Bruhn assumed his current role as Commandant of the Canadian Forces Fire and CBRN Academy.
