We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Kenneth Roy Guthro (Ret'd) of Walkerville NS, peacefully on 2 April 2022 at age 89, in the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow NS. 

Born in New Glasgow, Kenneth enlisted in the Canadian Army at the young age of 17 and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers. His career included service in Korea with 3 Field Squadron and postings in Canada and Germany.

Ken was a sheet metal worker in Ontario and Nova Scotia for over 45 years following his retirement from the Canadian Forces. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed working. Ken was a very caring and generous man who wished to help people without recognition. 
 
In keeping with Kenneth’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately. Donations may be made in Kenneth’s memory to Priestville Cemetery. Online condolence can be sent to the funeral home.
