MWO Nigel Pollard, CD

    MWO Nigel Pollard (00307 ‐ CE Supt) enrolled in the CF on 22 May 1985 as an Infantryman with 1 PPCLI in Calgary.  After re‐mustering and successfully completing his trade qualification as an Electrician, he was posted to CFB Borden in July 1985.  As an Engineer, he has served at 4 ESR Gagetown, CFB Calgary, CFB North Bay, CFB Winnipeg and ASU Northern Ontario.  MWO Pollard currently is filling the positions of 191 CEF Sergeant Major and WCE Contracts Officer at 19 Wing Comox, where he has been posted since July 2007.  During his service career he served on a number of deployments including, CFS Alert (1992, 1997), Croatia (1994), Golan Heights (2000, 2002), Afghanistan (2005, 2006) and Camp Mirage (2008).  After 30 plus years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada and the Canadian Forces, MWO Pollard retired on 4 Oct 10 in the Comox Valley with his wife, Rose and three grandchildren.  After growing a ponytail and deciding what to wear, Mr. Pollard will be assuming a position in the public service as the 19 Wing Construction Engineering Contracts Supervisor on 5 Oct 10.  Anyone wishing to send anecdotes or well‐wishes may forward these to WO J.D.
