We regret to advise of the death of MWO John Edward Hagerman, age 66, at Chilliwack General Hospital on 25 September 2009 after a very short but courageous struggle with cancer.

John was born in Kingston, ON and joined the Royal Canadian Engineers with the 9^th Intake of Sapper Apprentices in 1960 at the age of 16. He served 32 years as Canadian Military Engineer in our field units at CFB Chilliwack, CFB Petawawa, and CFB Lahr, Germany. John retired in 1992 as Sergeant Major with Base Operations, CFB Chilliwack.

The Funeral Service was held on 2 October 2009 at Vedder View Gardens Cemetery, Watson Road, Chilliwack. Reception followed at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 280. In lieu of flowers, donations in John Hagerman's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
