Après plus que 12 ans de service loyal et dévoué aux Forces armées canadiennes et aux Génies militaires canadiens, le Cplc Joshua Rogers, CD, prendra sa retraite le 24 mars 2022. Joshua was born on 22 July 1991 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. He enrolled in the CAF as an Infanteer with 1 Nova Scotia Highlanders in January 2010.
In 2013, Joshua transferred to the Regular Force and joined the Canadian Military Engineers. He completed DP1 at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) at CFB Gagetown to become a Combat Engineer. In December 2013, he was posted to 4 Engineer Support Regiment (4 ESR). While at 4 ESR, he had the opportunity to attend the Unit Storesman course and become the Stores Rep. He also had the opportunity to occupy many different positions, such as MT Rep, 1 Tp Recce Det 2IC, Unit Ammo Rep, and Combat Engineer Sect 2IC.
In July 2019, MCpl Rogers was posted to 5 CDSG as the Range Control EOD 2IC, where he continues to work hard and care for the Section members today.
MCpl Rogers is married to his lovely wife, Jenna, and they have two happy children, Caleb and Eli. He will remain with his family in the local area following his retirement.
