We regret to advise of the death of Leading Aircraftman Ingo Roggan (Ret’d) on 11 August 2024 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay (Kawartha Lakes) ON at age 79.
Born in Nauen, Germany, Ingo joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1962 at age 17 as a Military Firefighter. He completed his Basic Firefighter course at the Fire School at RCAF Station Borden ON, he served at RCAF Station Penhold AB and Canadian Forces Base Bagotville QC, after which he retired from the Canadian Forces.
After retiring from the Canadian forces, Ingo pursued several careers. He graduated from Sir George Williams University (Concordia) with a Bachelor's degree, McGill University with a University Certificate in Renovations and Restoration of Heritage Housing, and the Banff School of Fine Arts with a Certificate in Photography. He was passionate about his careers in Arts-photography, stained glass and heritage home restorations, where he was a project manager and site supervisor and connected to Norlon Builders London Ltd. and the Association des professionnels de la construction et de l’habitation du Québec [APCHQ] (Professional Builders Association of Quebec). He retired in the Kawarthas.
