    We regret to advise of the death of John Alexander “Jack” Hall on 6 March 2003 at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa, ON.

    Jack was born in Ottawa in 1921. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers in January 1940 and participated in the D-Day invasion at Juno Beach. He served in France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. After the war he worked at the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources as a draftsman before joining the Department of National Defence Army Survey Establishment in 1958 as a Supervising Draftsman. He continued to serve with this Establishment until his retirement in 1986.

    Jack was a member of the Defenders Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on 10 March. Service will be held in the Chapel on 11 March. Donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit of the Ottawa Hospital. {gdNov2015kh}
