We regret to advise the death of Edward Joseph "Ed" Kubu on 25 April 2018 in his 100^th year at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby ON.

Ed was born in St. Thomas ON. His vision had always been weak and ,after having memorized the Army's eye chart, he successfully enlisted in the 7^th Field Company, Royal Canadian Engineers and served overseas in Belgium and Holland.

After the war, Ed had many jobs, the last of which was as owner of a pre-cast concrete company - United Step and Metal in Hamilton ON. After retiring, Ed and his wife moved to Winona ON and took up gardening on a large scale as a hobby. He gave up his drivers licence when he was 96 and moved into an assisted liven facility in Vineland ON.

To honour Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral is planned. Donations can be made to Friends of Killarney Park or the Bruce Trail Conservancy in Ed's memory. ^{{dcJan20**} [zsp]}
