We regret to advise that Chief Warrant Officer Lucien Castonguay (Ret'd) passed away on 18 October 2010 at the age of 82 years in hospital in Quebec after a long illness.

Lou served a full career with the Canadian Military Engineers. His career highlights included appointments as Squadron Sergeant Major with 5e Ésquadron de Génie, Valcartier, and as Regimental Sergeant Major of 5e Régiment de Génie du Canada. As well he was Field Engineer Chief Warrant Officer with the SSO Field Engineer Section in Mobile Command Headquarters. Lou was a very strong supporter of his Regimental Family and was a founding member of the Quebec Association of Retired Sappers.

Visitation will be Sunday 24 October, from 1:00 -3:00pm at the chapel of the Lépine Cloutier Funeral Home, 1500 Blvd. Wilfrid-Hamel, Québec. The funeral will follow at 3:00pm.
