HE COMPLETED HIS RECRUIT TRAINING AT CFB CORNWALLIS THEN PROCEEDED TO THE CANADIAN FORCES SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEER (CFSME) CFB CHILLIWACK FOR HIS FD ENG QL3. BRIAN WAS POSTED TO 1 CER IN CHILLIWACK ON COMPLETION OF HIS QL3. FROM MAY 88 TO JUN 96 BRIAN SERVED WITH 1 CER, COMPLETED HIS FEE OP QL5 AND WAS PROMOTED TO CPL IN 1991. HE SERVED ON THREE TOURS: KUWAIT IN 91, CROATIA IN 92 AND BOSNIA IN 94. IN JUN 96 BRIAN WAS POSTED TO CFB SHILO AS A FIELD ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR. HE WORKED WITH THE BCE SECTION, RANGE CONTROL AND THE GERMAN ARMY UNTIL MAY 01. FOLLOWING THE CLOSURE OF THE GERMAN ARMY TRAINING ESTABLISHMENT (GATES), BRIAN WAS POSTED FROM CE TO BASE TRANSPORTATION IN MAY 01, AS A HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR. HE REMAINED WITH THE BTPT SPV SECTION UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT.

    3. BRIAN, ALONG WITH HIS WIFE SHELLY, AND STEPCHILDREN KOLTON AND RILEY, WILL REMAIN LIVING IN WAWANESA, MB, AND WILL CONTINUE TO WORK AT BASE TRANSPORTATION, SHILO AS A GL MDO 06, HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR.

    4. THERE WILL BE A LUNCHEON AT BASE TRANSPORTATION, CFB/ASU SHILO AT 1200 HRS, 20 MAR 09 TO HONOUR BRIAN’S RETIREMENT FROM THE CF.
