We regret to advise of the death of Corporal Antonio Girimonte, 24, a Combat Engineer with 5e Régiment du Génie de Combat, Valcartier, who died on 19 April 2011 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Corporal Girimonte was born in East York, ON in 1986. He enrolled in the Canadian Forces as a Combat Engineer in April 2006 and, after completion of his Basic Engineer Training at Chilliwack, BC, was posted to Régiment du Génie de Combat, where he served his career.

Public visitation will be on Tuesday 26 April from 17h00 to 20h00 and Wednesday 27 April from 10h00 to 13h00 with Funeral Service to follow at 1300hrs at Glendale Visitation Centre, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke, ON (416-679-1803).
