We regret to advise of the death of Alexander Wilfred "Pat" Thorne at his residence in Southampton, ON, on 11 May 2011 in his 85^th year.

Formerly of Sydney, NS, Pat was a WW II Veteran who enlisted in the Royal Canadian Engineers of the Permanent Force after the war. He was a distinguished hobby boat builder, painter, carver, collector and a quiet supporter of those less privileged. 

Southampton Legion Branch #155 will host a Memorial Service at the Eagleson Funeral Home on 15 May. A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Pat Thorne will be conducted at the Salvation Army Temple, Owen Sound, on 16 May 2011 with a Time of Fellowship and Sharing following the Service. Interment at Southampton Cemetery. Expressions of Remembrance to the Salvation Army, Owen Sound may be made through the Funeral Home.^{{khApr2018}[zsc,zcc]}
