Sapper Action in Sicily
On this day, 80 years ago, Canadian Sappers were among those leading the assault on Sicily at Pachino Beach. Over the next four weeks, the 1st Canadian Infantry Division supported by the 1st Canadian Armoured Brigade would fight through the Sicilian Hills in some of the hardest fighting of the Second World War.

CF Firefighter Selected To Participate in the Coronation of King Charles III
WO Mike Villani has been selected to represent Canada on Operation GOLDEN ORB, the Coronation of King Charles III.
WO Mike Villani enrolled in the CAF as a Vehicle Tech in 2002. Upon completion of his trades training, he was posted to 1 GS BN at CFB Edmonton, until his release from the CAF in 2006.
