Op GRANITE II August Update
Get the Word Out!
In May, we announced that planning was underway for Operation GRANITE II, which celebrated the 80th anniversary of All Sappers Park and Cenotaph.
Since then, many of you have received an email with some details. Many of you responded that you plan to attend and wanted to be kept informed of our progress. While we are not yet ready to make firm commitments to our attendees, our planning is progressing well. True to our traditions as Engineers, we haven't encountered any obstacles we haven't been able to overcome.

TAZ – An Enduring Airborne Legacy
Throughout Canadian military history, mascots have played a vital role in embodying traditions and fostering camaraderie. One notable mascot was Johnny Canuck, a German Shepherd who, lore has it, parachuted with the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion on D-Day during the Second World War, and tragically perished alongside his handler.
