Register Soon for the 58th Annual Firefighters Curling Bonspiel
The Annual Firefighter Bonspiel Committee has provided the basic information for the 58th Annual Firefighters Curling Bonspiel. Details of registration and accommodation are contained in the two attachments (English and French).
The event will be another unforgettable weekend of curling, camaraderie, and competition from 19 to 21 November 2026 at the Trenton Curling Club located at 293 King St, Trenton, Ontario.

Royal Canadian Legion Celebrates 100 Years of Service
The Royal Canadian Legion will mark its 100th anniversary on 17 July 2026. On that date, many of the Canadian Military Engineers family will be gathered in Chilliwack, BC, for Operation GRANITE II, a major homecoming and reunion commemorating the 80th anniversary of the All Sappers Memorial. Operation GRANITE II—taking place 17 - 19 July 2026, will feature the rededication of the All Sappers Cenotaph to include those lost in more recent conflicts, ensuring their names are forever etched in Engineer history.

Dave Carney Presented CME Commendation
On 17 January 2026, the Canadian Military Engineers formally recognized Colonel Dave Carney (Ret'd) with a Canadian Military Engineer Branch Commendation, presented by the Chief Military Engineer, Major-General Nicolas Pilon. The award honours a lifetime of service to the military engineering community and Dave’s enduring impact well beyond active duty.
Happy 100th Birthday Maj Roger Bourgeous, CD (Ret’d)
The CMEA is pleased to join our Colonel Commandant in sending greetings and best wishes to Maj Roger Bourgeous, CD (Ret’d) on the occasion of his 100th birthday.
Roger Bourgeous started his military career as Crewman in the Armoured Corps but remustered to Clerk, Royal Canadian Engineers – an Army trade that disappeared with Unification. He was Commissioned from the Ranks from Finance Clerk to CME Officer in 1968 and spent most of the remainder of his career in NDHQ in ADM Personnel.

As the New Year opens, we want to report where our planning now stands.
First, we can report that the facilities and caterers have been booked for all the planned events at the Heritage Park.
