After losing his vision during the First World War, Edwin Baker brought his determination back to Canada and co-founded the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. On 20 October 2014, WO Patrice Vincent was targeted in a lone wolf terror hit-and-run attack in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Two days later, Cpl Nathan Cirillo was gunned down while on guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa. In both cases, the murderer was an ISIS sympathizer.
