The following Canadian Military Engineers lost their lives in Afghanistan during the Afghanistan War. You can read the Last Post entry for each soldier by clicking in their name.
- Sergeant Shane Stachnik served with 2 Combat Engineer Regiment and was killed in action on 3 September 2006 during heavy fighting during Operation MEDUSA.
- Sapper Étienne Gonthier of 5e Régiment du Génie du Combat was killed on 23 January 2008 when his light armoured vehicle struck an improvised explosive device during a road clearance operation.
- Sergeant Shawn Eades served with 1 Combat Engineer Regiment and was killed on 20 August 2008 along with two Sapper comrades when a roadside bomb detonated near their armoured vehicle.
- Corporal Christian Bobbitt of 5e Régiment du Génie du Combat was killed on 1 August 2009 when his resupply convoy was struck by two improvised explosive devices.
- Sapper Stephane Stock of 1 Combat Engineer Regiment was killed on 20 August 2008 along with two Sapper comrades when a roadside bomb detonated near their armoured vehicle.
- Corporal Dustin Wasden served with 1 Combat Engineer Regiment and was killed on 20 August 2008, along with two other sappers, when a roadside bomb detonated near their armoured vehicle.
- Sergeant Gregory Kruse served with 2 Combat Engineer Regiment and was killed on 27 December 2008 when an improvised explosive device was detonated while he was conducting security.
- Sapper Sean Greenfield of 2 Combat Engineer Regiment was killed in action on 31 January 2009 when his armoured vehicle was struck by a roadside improvised explosive device.
- Corporal Martin Dubé of 5 Combat Engineer Regiment was killed on 14 June 2009, while neutralizing two improvised explosive devices.
- Sergeant Martin Goudreault of 1 Combat Engineer Regiment died on 26 June 2009 after a homemade landmine exploded during a foot patrol patrol searching for weapons caches near Kandahar.
- Sapper Mathieu Allard served with 5e Régiment du Génie du Combat and was killed on 1 August 2009 when his resupply convoy was struck by two improvised explosive devices.
- Major Yannick Pepin was commanding 51eEscadron du génie de combat serving when he was killed on 6 September 2009 in a roadside bomb attack on his vehicle.
- Corporal Jean-François Drouin served with the 5e Régiment du Génie du Combat and was killed on 6 September 2009 when his vehicle struck a roadside bomb.
- Sapper Steven Marshall served with 1 Combat Engineer Regiment and was killed on 30 October 2009 by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in the Panjwai district in Kandahar Province.
- Sergeant George Miok of 41 Combat Engineer Regiment died on 30 December 2009. He was a Reconstruction Team Section Commander when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle.
- Sergeant James MacNeil of 2 Combat Engineer Regiment was killed on 21 June 2010 by an improvised explosive device while on a joint foot patrol with the Afghan National Army near the village of Nakhonay
- Sapper Brian Collier of 1 Combat Engineer Regiment was killed on 20 July 2010 on a foot patrol near Nakhonay by an improvised explosive device.
