We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant Robert “Bob” Phillips, CD (Ret’d), peacefully on 27 May 2022, at Hospice Renfrew, Ontario in his 75^th year, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. 

Bob was born in Port Arthur ON and spent his early years in Pass Lake and Armstrong, ON. He was living in Capreol ON before joining the Canadian Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers. Bob enjoyed a long career as a Construction Engineering Procedures Technician before retiring from the Canadian Forces in Winnipeg MB in 1990. He then embarked on a second career as an engineer for Ottawa Valley Railway and the GO Transit in Toronto.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on 29 June 2022 at Beechwood Cemetery [280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa ON]. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial to follow from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm for those who would like to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Renfrew in Renfrew  ON, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences can be sent to Beechwood.
