Deployed on Operation Impact in 2019, MCpl O'Brien did not receive his General Campaign Star with the correct engraving. For the last 50 years, the coastal municipality of Knokke-Heist, in Belgium, celebrates Remembrance Day with thousands of Canadian flags.
