We regret to advise of the death of Lieutenant Colonel John Douglas Wadleigh, CD (Ret’d) on 22 July 2019,  peacefully in Salmon Arm BC at the age of 96.

John was born in Innisfail AB and was living in Calgary AB during the Second World War when he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He became a pilot and served in the European Theatre. After the war, John attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree. John then re-enlisted in the RCAF as a Construction Engineer officer and serving throughout Canada and Europe. After retirement in 1973, he resided in Kelowna and had recently moved to Salmon Arm.

A Memorial Service will be held on 9 September 2019 at 10:30 am, at Springfield Funeral Home (2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna BC). Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
