We regret to advise of the death of Sapper William Russell “Bill” Carter (Ret’d) of Sackville NB suddenly at home on 14 June 2008 at the age of 80 years.

Bill was born in Mount Whatley NB. He joined the Canadian Army and was a veteran of the Second World War. He served in the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe in the RCE. After the war, he was employed as a sheet metal worker and furnace repairman for over 40 years. He was a member of the Amherst Bridge Club and the Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. 

In keeping with Bill's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Spr Bill Carter is buried Sackville Rural Cemetery.
