We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Roy Edward Horner (Ret’d), peacefully on 21 March 2023, at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket ON.

Roy grew up in Toronto and enlisted in the Royal Canadian Engineers during the Second World War. He completed his basic training in Camp Petawawa ON and was assigned to 2^nd Field Park Company and served in Canada. 

Roy had a long and successful 44-year career with Moore Business Forms in Toronto starting as a pressman and working his way up to Director of Purchasing. For many years he served as the Service Club Chairman for the York Central Hospital Foundation. He also volunteered for many other community organizations including the Maple United Church and the Richmond Hill Horticultural Society.

Visitation will be held at Marshall Funeral Home {10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill} on Thursday, 30 March 2023, from 11am-12pm. Service will be held at 12:00pm followed by a reception. Donations can be made to the Mackenzie Health Foundation or Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation. On line condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
