We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Lionel J. Arseneault (Ret’d) in the Dalhousie Palliative Care Centre in Dalhousie, NB on 10 March 2012 at the age of 93 years.

Lionel was born in Darlington, NB.  He was a veteran of the Second World War who served in the Royal Canadian Engineers.  He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #17 in Dalhousie for many years and served on its executive.

Visitation will take place at the Maher Funeral Home, 517 Avenue des Pionniers, Balmoral, NB on 14 March from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM with a Royal Canadian Legion service at 7:30 PM.  Funeral service will be held at the Saint-Francois-Xavier Church in Charlo, NB on 15 March at 7:30 PM.  Donations may be made to the Heart Institute, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice. ^{{dcNov17gd} [zsd, zcc, ztr]}
