We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant Stewart Roy MacDonald, CD (Ret’d) on 30 November at his home in Trenton ON in his 65^th year.

Stewart enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1977 and served for over 25 years with the Canadian Military Engineers as a Refrigeration and Mechanical Technician  He worked across Canada at Early Warning Radar sites at Holberg BC, Sioux Lookout ON, St. Margarets NB, and twice at Goose Bay  NL. Other postings included Chilliwack BC, Shelburne NS, Borden ON, Moose Jaw SK, Petawawa ON and, finally, Trenton ON. Stewart also served on many deployments that included twice to the Golan Heights, Bosnia, Haiti, Alert, and Kabul.

Stewart retired from the Canadian Armed Forces at Trenton in 2016 and joined the Public Service.
