    We regret to advise of the death of  Sergeant Conrad Parisé, CD (Ret’d) of Quebec QC at the Hôpital du Saint-Sacrement, on 1 October  2021 at the age of 69.

    Conrad was born in Gaspésie in Paspébiac, QC.  He completed his basic Combat Engineer training at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering in Chilliwack BC in 1970. Conrad then served most of his career in 5e RGC as a Combat Engineer, often in the Transport and Stores sections, and as a heavy equipment operator. A fitness advocate, he was a regular participant in the Battle Run competitions. Conrad was an excellent marksman with the FN C-1 rifle and,participated as Deputy Commander of the 5e RGC shooting team that competed in national competitions in Connaught from 1987 to 1989.

    Conrad’s military career highlights include: deployment to Bermuda in 1971 on a project to construct training accommodation, supporting the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976, working on the Spence Bay northern airfield construction project in 1978, as an instructor at the Canadian Forces Recruit School in St Jean QC, security on the Tall Ships in 1984,  and deployment to Kuwait in 1991 during the Gulf War.

    Funeral will take place on 23 October. COVID measures are in effect and a maximum of 50 people can be accommodated at the visitation at any time.

    The family will welcome relatives and friends at: 1600 Avenue le Gendre, Quebec on Saturday 23 October 2021 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, 24 October from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  The funeral will take place on 24 October 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the Complexe de la Cité, 1600, av. Le Gendre, Quebec . A tribute to Conrad’s life will follow.
