    We regret to advise of the death of Master Corporal Leon Bryson, CD (Ret’d) of Perth-Andover NB, peacefully at Victoria Glen Manor on 7 June 2021 at age 81 years. 

    Leon was born in Perth-Andover, NB into a large family of thirteen brothers and sisters. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in Toronto in 1958. He served with RCASC for more than 20 years in various locations in Canada, as well as in Northern Germany before remustering in 1980 to become a Field Engineer with the Canadian Military Engineers. Leon served this part of his career with 2 Combat Engineer Regiment in Petawawa ON, mainly as a heavy equipment operator before he retired in the late-80s. Leon was also a paratrooper. 

    Leon was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 36, and was also a member of the Perth-Andover Elks Club.

    Due to the current travel restrictions, a celebration of Leon's life will be held at a later date.  For those who wish, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion or to the Victoria Glen Manor would be appreciated by the family.
