We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Roy Thomas Pistell (Ret'd) peacefully in Victoria, BC on 12 December 2010 at the age of 86.

Roy was a WW II veteran who served with the Royal Canadian Engineers. After the war, he joined the Department of National Defence as a civilian and spent his entire adult life in their employment. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 66 years, serving at the Britannia Branch #7 in Victoria most recently.

No service will be held and he will be interred at Royal Oak Burial Park, 4673 Falaise Drive, Victoria. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.^{{gdOct2016kh} [zpp,}^zcc^{, zsd]}
