The annual Fire Service Round-Up was held on 14 October 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Montgomery Branch on 330 Kent St. in Ottawa. This was our twenty-sixth Annual Fire Service Round-Up.
The Annual Round-Up is one of our most important social events where we come together to pay our respects to those that have gone before us during the preceding year. Because of past COVID restrictions this was our first Round-Up in three years so the list of fellow Fire Service members who have passed is extensive.
The reading of names was followed by the ringing of eight bells and prayer with a moment of silence. The social gathering afterwards gives both retired and serving Fire Service members a chance to get reacquainted with old friends and establish new friendships.
