    CWO Rob C. MacDonald, MMM, CD, will be retiring in Jun 2015 from the Canadian Armed forces after 36 years of loyal and dedicated service to the CAF and the CME Branch.

    CWO R.C. MacDonald enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in April 1979. After recruit training at CFB Cornwallis, his first posting was to CFB Petawawa then he completed his Para Course and posted to 2 CER, Airborne Battle Group CFB Petawawa. While there he deployed to Cyprus, April to Oct 1981.

    He was then posted to 1 CEU at CFB Winnipeg in May 1982 where he completed many projects throughout Canada including CFS Alert and CFS Bermuda. During his next posting to CFB Kingston May 1985 he was promoted to MCpl in August 1986 and to Sgt in January 1990 and was employed as the Special Projects Team leader.

    A posting to CFB Trenton in July 1990 was next and while there completed many trips to CFS Alert and CFS Eureka. Then posted to CFSME, CFB Chilliwack June 1993 as an instructor in the Structures Cell.

    Next was CFB Greenwood in July 1997 where he was promoted to Warrant Officer and assigned as the Airfield Engineer Troop Warrant Officer until 2000. He was then employed in the roles of the Production Officer, Utilities Officer and Operations Officer. while at CFB Greenwood he deployed to the Golan Heights August 1998 to February 1999.

    Promoted to Master Warrant Officer July 2002 and posted to the newly formed Canadian Forces Joint Support Group (CFJSG) at CFB Kingston as the PDT Training Officer. Deployed to Dakar, Senegal as part of Op Augural 2005 and to Lebanon as part of Op Lion 2006.

    Then posted back to CFB Greenwood July 2007 as the Utilities Officer and deployed to CFS Alert as the Station Warrant Officer from December 2007 to June 2008. Promoted to CWO June 2008 and assumed the duties of CECWO and WLE Branch CWO at CFB Greenwood.

    He began the training cycle for Roto 9 July 2009 and deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in April 2010 to Dec 2010 as the TF Engr ESS CNS Det Comd. CWO MacDonald was next posted to CFB/ASU Petawawa as the CECWO as of July of 2011. CWO MacDonald assumed the duties of the S CWO 14 CES Bridgewater NS as of July of 2012.

    CWO MacDonald is married to Maggie and they have two grown children, Spencer and Megan.
