CME Senior Appointments April 2020

NDHQ has recently announced the following appointments of CME Colonels and General Officers:

  • Brigadier-General M. Misener will be promoted to the rank of Major-General and will be appointed as Commander First Canadian Division, in Kingston ON, replacing Major-General J.S.S.D. Fortin.
  • Brigadier-General Jayne will be promoted to the rank of Major-General and appointed as Chief of Staff, Assistant Deputy Minister Information Management (ADM IM), in Ottawa ON, replacing Major-General F.J. Chagnon.
  • Brigadier-General K.G. Horgan will be promoted to the rank of Major-General and will be appointed as Chief of Staff, Assistant Deputy Minister Infrastructure and Environment, in Ottawa ON, replacing Major-General J.S. Sirois.
  • Brigadier-General C. Ayotte will be appointed Director General Army Capability Development, in Ottawa ON, replacing Brigadier-General S.R. Kelsey.
  • Colonel M. Gros-Jean will be promoted to the rank of Brigadier-General and will be appointed to a new position as Deputy Commander Support, Canadian Special Operations Force, in Ottawa ON.
  • Colonel E.S.J.J. Fortin will be appointed Counter-Terrorism Liaison Officer, Ministerial Liaison Team, Op Impact, replacing Colonel B.M.V. Giroux
  • Colonel S.D. Macewan will be appointed Director Air Support, in Ottawa, replacing Colonel M.C. Lefebvre
  • Colonel Y. Michaud will be appointed Assistant Chief of Staff Operations at Cintcom HQ in Ottawa
  • Colonel K.L. Solomon will proceed on Post Graduate Studies at the Rotman School of Management in Toronto
  • Lieutenant-Colonel C.R.F. Cotton will be promoted Colonel and appointed Chief of Staff, 5th Canadian Division HQ in Halifax replacing Colonel B.F. Healey
  • Lieutenant-Colonel B.J. Honig will be promoted to Colonel and Appointed Director of Programs, Canadian Forces College in Toronto replacing Colonel R.E. Jurkowski
