5th Canadian Division Gets New Division Sergeant-Major

CWO Mark Baisley handed over his position as Division Sergeant-Major of 5th Canadian Division to CWO Shawn Croucher in a ceremony at the Cambridge Military Library at Royal Artillery Park in Halifax on Thursday (16 Jul 15).

CWO Croucher served with 1 Combat Engineer Regiment where he was employed as the Engineer Squadron Sergeant Major. During which time, he completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan with the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team under Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and completed a second tour with Combined Task Force Bayonet as part of Canada’s commitment under Operation ARCHER. CWO Croucher has also deployed with a United Nations mission to Ethiopia and Eritrea.

CWO Croucher joins 5 Cdn Div after completing his three-year appointment as Formation Chief Warrant Officer for the Combat Training Centre. He brings 28 years of experience to his appointment at 5th Canadian Division.
