1. On the 13th of August 2008 after 30 years of loyal and dedicated service, WO William Walz is retiring from the CF.

2. WO Walz commenced his career in October of 1978 as a Topographical Surveyor serving with the Mapping and Charting Establishment in Ottawa ON. During his career he was posted to UNPROFOR Croatia for one year, served on OP PALLADIUM Roto 0, and was posted to CFB Borden from 2001 to 2007. Bill will wind up his Military career at the Joint Information and Intelligence Fusion Capability Detachment in Ottawa. WO Walz and his wife Karen will be retiring in Barrie, ON.

3. To commemorate Bill’s career, there will be a retirement luncheon at KAM FUNG Restaurant, Chinese Buffet, 2679 Bank St, Ottawa at 1130hrs on 15th Jul 08.
