WO Walter “Bud” Little, CD (Ret’d)

We regret to advise of the death of Firefighter Warrant Officer Walter Edward “Bud” Little, CD (Ret’d), peacefully on 22 October 2025 at age 92 in the home of his granddaughter in Moose Jaw SK.
Bud enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1951 and served a full career 25-year career as a Firefighter at many Air Force bases across Canada. In addition to his being an instructor at the Firefighter Training Company in Borden ON, Bud’s career postings included: RCAF Stations Saskatoon SK, Fort Nelson BC, Beaver Lodge AB, Rockcliffe ON; Canadian Forces Stations Sioux Lookout, and Moisie QC; and Canadian Forces Bases Borden ON, Bagotville QC, Goose Bay NL, Moose Jaw SK and Comox BC.
Bud retired from the Canadian Forces in 1976 and then worked for 20 years in the Saskatchewan Provincial Fire Commissioner’s Office, first in Regina SK and then in Saskatoon. He retired in 1997 from the Fire Commissioners Office in Saskatoon where he resided until health issues necessitated a move to Moose Jaw in June of this year.
In keeping with Bud’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
