WO Mario Racine will retire from the Canadian Forces on April 6th 2009, after 26 years of service.
WO Mario Racine started his career in 1983 where he served with the 5 RGC at Valcartier for 3 years. In 1987, he was posted to Lahr, Germany with 4 CER for four years. Back at Valcartier in 1991, he participated in two missions, Bosnia in 1993 and Croatia in 1995. He then was transferred to CFLRS in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu as a recruit instructor and PL 2 I/C. Mario packed again his luggage in 2001 for another stay in Valcartier where he participated at two more missions, Bosnia in 2002 and Afghanistan in 2004. Posted back to St-Jean-sur-Richelieu at CFLRS in 2004, he occupied the standard WO’s position. At present time, Mario is teaching military law on the ILQ course and will retire on Apr 6th 2009 after 26 years of exemplary service. Mario and his children, Isabelle and Alexandre will be leaving here in St-Jean where he will keep on working as a supervisor with the Fort St-Jean Corporation.
