WO Brian White – Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal Recipient

RP Ops Det Moose Jaw Sargeant Major - WO Brian White is the newest recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Saskatchewan) (QPJM)! Congratulations!

WO White was presented the QPJM on 10 Nov 23 by Hon. Tim McLeod, the MLA for Moose Jaw North of the Saskatchewan Party.

WO White was nominated as both a model soldier and an active community volunteer. WO White has an extensive, and well decorated military career with over 20 years with the Canadian Armed Forces. Over their career they’ve been deployed to Afghanistan three times where notably they assisted in building the 37 foot poem out of purple heart for the Multinational Hospital amongst other construction projects. Domestically WO White’s contributions fell with the City of High River where they supported in the restoration of services after massive floods.

On the volunteer front WO White has volunteered for 3 years as the President of Empire Elementary School Community Council in Moose Jaw. They’ve conducted school meetings for how to best help the school with educational events and fundraising including school parties, events, dances, BBQs and hot lunches for the children. WO White most notably developed a way to pay for children who could not afford lunches while ensuring their privacy and dignity. They have been involved with a numerous Saskatchewan charity, Run for the Cure for Breast Cancer (2020 & 2021) and the Canada Goose Ultra (2022) Run for Mitochondrial Disease where they ran his all-time longest distance of 27km.

WO Brian White shines as a proud military member and as a resident of the province of Saskatchewan. They exemplify the best in the Canadian Armed Forces and of their community, as such they were awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Saskatchewan).
