We regret to advise of the death of Sapper John Roger “Ty King” Cave (Ret’d) on 15 January 2011 in Vernon BC at the age of 68 years.

Ty was born in Hamilton ON and enlisted in the Royal Canadian Engineers with the 8th Sapper Apprentice Intake in 1959. Among other Canadian Army locations, he served in Germany with 4 Field Squadron and Chilliwack BC. Ty left the Army in 1970 while serving in Chilliwack and stayed in British Columbia. He was a resident of Lone Butte BC for many years prior to settling in Vernon in the early 90s. He was a member of the Vernon Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for 25 years.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home. At his request, there will be no public funeral.  ^{{dcOct19wd} [zsd, zcc, zpp, zbd]}
