We regret to advise of the death of  Sapper Howard John Glenn (Ret’d) of Maslasgash NS in High Crest Nursing Home in Springhill NS on Tuesday 15 May 2012 at the age of 91 years. Howard was a veteran of the Second World War.

Howard was born and grew up in Minudie NS . He worked at the Joggins coalmine during the first years of the Second World War before he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Engineers. During the war he served in Nova Scotia. After the war, Howard worked for the Department of National Defense in the Halifax Shipyards for 37 years as a diesel engineer, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Malagash Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Visitation will be on Thursday, 17 May from 2- 4:00 PM and from 7 -9:00 PM in Coulter’s Funeral Home in Tatamagouche NS. There will be a veteran’s tribute service at 6:45 PM.  Howard’s funeral will be at 10:00 AM on Friday in the Sunrise Baptist Church with interment in Brookside Cemetery, Bedford NS at 3:00 PM. Donations in Howard’s memory can be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, the Sunrise Baptist Church or the Colchester SPCA. ^{{dcAug2020kh} [zsd, zsp]}
