We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant Korin Kathy Ford, CD (Retd) in New Brunswick on 29 October at age 43 years. Korin was a former member of 2 Combat Engineer Regiment in Petawawa ON.

Korin joined the Canadian Forces in 2000. After completing basic Combat Engineering training at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown NB, she was posted to 2 Combat Engineer Regiment in Petawawa ON. Korin served her entire military career with 2 CER and deployed twice to Afghanistan: on Operation ATHENA (Aug 03 to Feb O4) and on Roto 4 of Operation ATHENA (Aug 07 to Feb 08).   Korin retired from the Canadian Forces in 2016 at the rank of Sergeant. Continuing her desire to help and serve those in need, Korin became a Licensed Practical Nurse for her second career. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, 7 November 2022, from 2-4:00 pm and 6-8:00 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home [108 Winnebago Street, Oromocto NB.  A private graveside service will take place at a later date.  Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
