We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant  Donald Robert Monfette, CD (Ret’d) on 17 November at the Ottawa General Hospital at age 62.

Don joined the Canadian Forces in 1984 through the Youth Training and Employment Program (YTEP) and became a Structures Technician. His postings included Germany and Canadian Forces Bases at Halifax, Ottawa, Petawawa and Trenton. He also deployed to Bosnia, the Gulf war, and to Istanbul. Don retired from the Canadian Forces in 2005..

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to the burial ceremony at 1:00 pm on Thursday, 30 November 2023, at the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood {280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, ON}. A reception will follow at Beechwood. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the charity of your choice are appreciated. Online condolences can be sent to Beechwood.
