    After more than 23 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineer Branch, MWO L.C.C. Messier, CD, will retire on 06 Octobre 2025. A DwD reception will be held on 03 Octobre 2025.     MWO Messier enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in December
    2001 from Montreal. Upon completion of Basic Training, he began his
    career as an ED Tech, starting his QL3 at CFB Trenton in November 2002.
    He later completed his QL5 course in 2006, was posted to CFB Comox
    for one year, and subsequently returned to CFB Kingston with the
    Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment.
    While serving with the Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment, MWO
    Messier completed his PLQ in Valcartier and deployed for eight months
    with the Engineer Support Unit in Afghanistan. Following his deployment in 2009, he was promoted to MCpl and posted to CFB Gagetown with the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering. For three years, he was employed as an ED Tech instructor, completing his QL6A in 2011 and earning promotion to Sgt in 2012.
    In 2013, MWO Messier was posted to 4 ESR as the ED Tech Section Comd. He was promoted to WO in January 2015 and subsequently posted to DSPG as the Construction TP WO. In August 2015, he was posted to CF RP Ops in Ottawa. The following year, he was assigned to the Construction Engineer Branch as the Firefighter Assistant Career Manager. In 2019, he was promoted to his current rank of MWO and appointed Career Manager for the Construction Engineer trade.
    In 2020, MWO Messier was posted to DMCA as a Medical File Analyst. In 2022, he returned to CF RP Ops
    as the Sergeant Major of RP Ops Central.
    MWO Messier will officially retire on 6 October. He plans to remain in the NCR with his spouse, Veronique, and their four children: Harmon, Xavier, Alexy, and Sophia.
    MWO Messier wishes to extend his heartfelt gratitude to his colleagues, mentors, and the Canadian
    Armed Forces community for their unwavering support, camaraderie, and friendship throughout his career. He is proud to have served alongside such dedicated professionals and will carry these memories with him into the next chapter of his life.
